Similar to other aspects of landscape design, using materials relative to the size of area being created is important. For larger spaces requiring an immediate visual impact, natural boulders in all shapes and sizes are helpful in fulfilling this need. Whether it be a single stack of boulders in a wall, or several courses high, larger stones can shape any area with greater demands. Boulder Steps can also be implemented to gain access from top to bottom of many steep landscapes common in our region. When dealing with natural surfaces of these grand size stones, it's important to use professional judgment in selecting these materials.
